Prayer at Cosham Baptist
There are many times we gather to pray together. For many this is within a prayer triplet – please do get in touch if you would like to be connected with others to pray.
Before our Sunday morning service each week, we gather from 9:50am in the Front Hall to pray.
We begin each month with Prayer First – an opportunity to pray in a range of styles. This takes place on the first Sunday of each month at 7pm with refreshments served from 6:30pm.
The first week of each term we also designate as 7 Days of Prayer. During this week there will be daily devotionals and opportunities to pray together. Please take a look at the devotionals from previous weeks here.

We invite you to pray with us for our world, our nation, our community, our friends and ourselves. One of the ways you can do this is by submitting your own prayer or prayer request below.
When entering a prayer request you can choose to share it with your name, share it anonymously, or not to share it. Requests that are shared will be visible to everyone viewing the site, who will be able to pray for you/your request. If you choose not to share your prayer request, it will only be viewed by the Cosham Baptist Prayer Team.
Prayer requests won’t appear instantly and must be approved by a member of the Cosham Baptist Prayer Team. Phone numbers and email addresses will only be visible to the Prayer Team. You can choose to be notified by email when someone clicks to say they have prayed for your request. You have full control over your submitted prayers and can remove them at any time.
You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like! Please pray for me my job situation. There are 2 women at work who, have been bullying member of staff and causing tremendous stress to everyone under their management. They never like me and have been discriminating me. I have been let go with 2 weeks notice today. Please pray for me - for new job, new contract or new income source. Please pray that 2 women will stop terrorising my colleagues and that God will protect my colleagues from oppression by these 2 women. They are only temporary staff but have been causing havoc at work because they are in management position and they are using their authority to bully member of staff. So sad and i feel so helpless. Thank you. Please pray for my children as they can be so disobidient and unruly.Please also for a Christian music group for my daughther to attend please.
We are also looking for a saturday match day football team for my son so he do not miss gathering with his church family.
The little one just copy all their behaviour so the work gets harder.
Please pray they grow in wisdom of the Lord and not follow the crowd and do things that pleases the Lord all their lives in Jesus name Amen. We have had a request for prayer from a lady called Janet. Janet is a valued member of the Bethany community and has been unable to attend for some time because of ill health. She is missed.
Lord in Your mercy hear our prayer for Janet's healing . Bless her over the Christmas holidays and in the New Year may we welcome her return to Bethany. Amen
Hello Church,
I’m really excited to be releasing an EP called ‘Where to turn?’ , on the 6th October - an album of original Christian songs (Music by Gina Hall) which I am singing.
My prayer is that the words will speak to those who are seeking for something else in their life and that those people will turn to Jesus. I also prayer the words sink into those who have faith and just want that boost of reassurance of God’s everlasting love, in a world that can sometimes feel bleak and hard.
Bless you all, Josh I caught up with a friend this evening who's been to hospital and had some concerning results. Could I ask for prayer for them, for God's comfort and presence with them and that any further tests show it isn't as serious as it might be. Please pray for Oli, a young man about to undergo 3 rounds of chemotherapy. Please pray that it works and rids him of this disease. Pray for the faith of his family I caught up with a friend this evening who's been to hospital and had some concerning results. Could I ask for prayer for them, for God's comfort and presence with them and that any further tests show it isn't as serious as it might be. Please pray for a couple looking for accommodation locally, both are Christians. Zoe is doing a PGCE at Portsmouth University and her husband Jacob works at Park Community School. I’d value prayers for my brother in law, Phil, in QA hospital. He’s not really coped well since my sister died three years ago. His leg is swollen to at least three times the size, he has breathing issues and a kidney problem. He also seems confused at times. He knows the Lord and today asked for his bible. I’m thankful for all the help his running friends are giving, as well as his church in Gosport. Thank you. Let us give thanks for Hazel’s funeral. We thank God it glorified God as her life story was shared and may He continue to comfort those who mourn. We will all miss her but rejoice that she is in heaven with our Father God and will one day be reunited. Sam
