Day 1: The Image of the Invisible God
Reading: Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 1:1-4
Devotional: When we struggle to understand who God is, Jesus provides the perfect answer. He is not merely similar to God—He is the exact representation, the very stamp of God’s nature. Like an image on a coin reveals the ruler’s face, Jesus reveals the Father’s heart. This truth transforms how we approach God. We need not wonder about His character or intentions. When we see Jesus healing the broken, welcoming the outcast, and dying for sinners, we see God Himself.
Today, reflect on what Jesus reveals about God’s nature. Where in your life do you need to see God more clearly? Look to Jesus—His compassion, His truth, His sacrifice. In Him, the invisible becomes visible, the unknowable becomes known.
Day 2: Creator and Sustainer of All Things
Reading: Colossians 1:15-17; John 1:1-5
Devotional: Before anything existed, Jesus was. Through Him, galaxies were flung into space, mountains were formed, and life began. Every atom, every creature, every power—visible and invisible—was created by Him and for Him. But His work didn’t stop at creation. Right now, He holds everything together. The very fabric of reality is sustained by His power.
This means your life, your struggles, your relationships—all are held in His capable hands. When the world feels chaotic, remember: the One who created order from nothing is still actively sustaining all things. He has not abandoned His creation. He holds the universe together, and He holds you.
What feels like it’s falling apart in your life today? Trust it to the One who holds all things together.
Day 3: Reconciliation of All Things
Reading: Colossians 1:19-23; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Devotional: The cross wasn’t just a personal transaction between you and God. It was a cosmic event that reconciled all things—everything on earth and in heaven. Through Christ’s blood, God is restoring the harmony of original creation, resolving the disharmonies of nature and the inhumanities of humankind. This is breathtakingly vast.
Yes, celebrate that your sins are forgiven and you have eternal life. But expand your vision. God is reconciling broken relationships, healing creation’s groaning, and ultimately making all things new. When you look at wars, climate change, injustice, and brokenness, remember: Jesus has already won the victory. Reconciliation is underway.
How does knowing Christ reconciles all things change how you view current world events? Let this truth birth hope and fuel your prayers for peace.
Day 4: The Supremacy of Christ
Reading: Colossians 1:18-19; Philippians 2:5-11
Devotional: Jesus is first in everything. He is the head of the church, the beginning, the firstborn from the dead. God was pleased to have His fullness dwell in Christ. This means Jesus has supreme authority over every power, every ruler, every authority—visible or invisible. No political leader, no spiritual force, no circumstance exists outside His sovereignty.
In our troubled times, this truth anchors our souls. Jesus reigns. Not uncertainty. Not chaos. Not evil. The One who conquered death itself holds ultimate supremacy. This should transform our anxiety into worship, our fear into confidence.
What fears are you holding today? Consciously place them under the supremacy of Christ. Declare His authority over your circumstances. He who rose from the dead has all power in heaven and earth.
Day 5: Participating in God’s Reconciling Work
Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Matthew 5:9
Devotional: If Christ has reconciled all things to Himself, we are called to participate in this reconciling work. We are ambassadors of peace in a fractured world. This means wherever you go today—your workplace, your neighborhood, your family—you carry the ministry of reconciliation.
Be a person of peace. Listen deeply. Care genuinely. Think the best of others. Seek to restore broken relationships where possible. Share God’s love through actions and words. This isn’t optional for followers of Jesus; it’s our calling.
God’s way has always been the way of love, patiently wanting everyone to know Him. Will you join His reconciling mission today?
Identify one relationship or situation where you can be a peacemaker this week. Pray for wisdom, then take one practical step toward reconciliation.
