Day 1: God’s Unchanging Promise

Reading: Numbers 13:1-3, 26-33; Joshua 1:1-9

Devotional: God repeatedly told the Israelites “when you enter the land,” never “if you enter.” His promises aren’t conditional on our performance but rooted in His faithful character. Though the journey took 40 years instead of 11 days, God’s commitment never wavered. Today, Jesus extends the same certainty about entering His kingdom. He doesn’t say “maybe” or “if you’re good enough.” He says “when.” The question isn’t whether God will keep His promise, but whether we’ll trust Him enough to step forward. What promise from God are you struggling to believe today? Remember, His faithfulness doesn’t depend on your perfection but on His unchanging nature.

Reflection: Write down one promise from Scripture that God has made to you. How does knowing God says “when” rather than “if” change your perspective?

Day 2: Included in the Party

Reading: Romans 5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21

Devotional: Imagine standing outside a celebration, longing to belong, only to hear your name called: “You’re meant to be in here!” This is the gospel. While we were still sinners, enemies even, Christ died for us. We didn’t earn our invitation; we were chosen. Jesus included everyone in His death so everyone could be included in His resurrection life. You’re not waiting for acceptance—you’ve already been welcomed. The party has started, and it continues for eternity. Have you truly embraced that you’re inside God’s kingdom, surrounded by His grace? Don’t live like you’re still outside looking in. Stand up in the kingdom and declare, “This is where I am.”

Reflection: In what ways do you still live as though you’re outside God’s kingdom rather than fully included? How can you demonstrate your acceptance of His invitation today?

Day 3: Giants and God’s Presence

Reading: Numbers 14:1-9; 1 Samuel 17:32-50

Devotional: Ten spies saw giants and fortified cities; two saw God’s promise and power. The difference? Perspective. Joshua and Caleb didn’t deny the giants existed, but they refused to let fear define their response. “If the Lord is pleased with us, He will lead us in.” David faced Goliath with the same faith: “He is speaking against God’s armies.” When we face our giants—illness, financial crisis, broken relationships—focusing on the problem breeds fear. But when we see God standing with us, faith rises. Your giant may be real, but God is bigger. The question isn’t “Can I defeat this?” but “Is God with me?” And the answer is always yes.

Reflection: What giant are you currently facing? How would your approach change if you truly believed God is fighting for you?

Day 4: Taming Fearful Thoughts

Reading: Psalm 23; Isaiah 41:10; Philippians 4:6-9

Devotional: Fear often begins with an untruth: “This is too big. I can’t handle this. I’m going to fail.” We develop false narratives and overreact, spiraling into anxiety. But Scripture calls us to uproot these thoughts and replant truth. “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” “Do not fear, for I am with you.” God doesn’t minimize our struggles, but He maximizes His presence in them. Choose a verse to combat your specific fear. When the giant’s voice grows loud, speak God’s Word louder. Replace “I can’t” with “God will.” Your thoughts shape your reality—make sure they’re rooted in truth.

Reflection: Identify one recurring fearful thought. What Scripture verse will you use to replace it? Write it down and memorize it this week.

Day 5: Faith Over Fear

Reading: Romans 8:31-39; Joshua 5:10-12

Devotional: After 40 years of wandering, the Israelites finally crossed into the Promised Land. The manna stopped because they could now eat from the land God provided. Their journey of faith was complete. What did fear cost the previous generation? Forty years and a promise delayed. What does faith offer us? Immeasurably more than we can imagine. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” No giant, no problem, no circumstance can separate us from God’s love. Faith doesn’t mean we won’t face difficulties, but that we won’t face them alone. The Lord fights for us; we need only be still. Choose today: will you live in fear of your circumstances or in faith in your God?

Reflection: What are you missing out on because of fear? What step of faith is God calling you to take today, trusting that He is with you?

Closing Prayer: Lord, thank You that Your promises are certain and Your presence is constant. Help me replace fear with faith, knowing You are bigger than any giant I face. Give me courage to step into all You have for me, trusting that when You say “when,” You mean it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
