How might our understanding of God’s faithfulness change if we truly believed He always answers our prayers, even if not in the way we expect?

The Power of Asking:

      • The pastor mentioned that sometimes God may not give us exactly what we ask for because He knows what’s best. How does this make you feel about unanswered prayers?

                  1. Paul repeatedly said that God was happy and wanted us to share his happiness. How can God possibly be happy with us when he sees what a mess we’ve made of this planet? Gaza, Ukraine, Congo, Sudan, Syria to name but a few places where nobody should be happy with the current situation.

                    He went on to say that we should ask God for anything we want. I was always taught in Sunday School to only ask God for other people not to ask for ourselves. Also why did Paul not mention that we should thank God for all the blessings we daily receive. From living in a peaceful country to having food and shelter and warmth and not to have to witness death and maiming on a regular basis. That we can worship as and when we wish and so much more. Surely we should thank God too?
