More than two-thirds of Christians in the world are in the Global South. The vision of BMS’ Department of Intercultural Learning and Collaboration (ILC) is to mobilise, train, resource and partner with the Church in the Global South for world mission through catalytic collaborations.
SUNDAY 8
We praise God for the establishment of the Department for Intercultural Learning and Collaboration (ILC) and the appointment of the new Director, Aniu Kevichusa. Pray that the Director and the team will have clarity and confidence. Pray also that God will bring the right collaborative partners from both the
Global North and the Global South.
MONDAY 9
Please pray for mission workers Dave and Michele Mahon, who are leading the ILC hub in Peru. Pray that God will lead them into strategic partnerships that will vitalise the mission work of the church in Peru.
TUESDAY 10
Pray for the International Baptist Theological Study Centre (IBTS) in Amsterdam, with which ILC collaborates for strategic research in mission studies.
WEDNESDAY 11
Pray for the Baptist Church Trust Association (BCTA) in New Delhi and BMS Kolkata. Pray that ILC will forge deep and fruitful missional partnerships with them.
THURSDAY 12
Pray for the Baptist churches in north east India. Pray that God would raise a great missional movement there, and that BMS will also have a catalytic role to play in this.
FRIDAY 13
Pray for Christians in the Global South. With the centre of world Christianity shifting to the Global South, pray that Christians there will also step up in leading the task of the Great Commission.
SATURDAY 14
Pray that world mission in the immediate and foreseeable future will be truly intercultural and collaborative between the Global North and the Global South.
