According to UNICEF, the annual number of girls married in childhood stands at 12 million. Child marriage violates the basic rights of girls and women, putting them at significant risk of abuse and violence. BMS World Mission addresses gender inequalities in the areas of child protection and education, and challenges unjust cultural and religious norms.
