Orbit 35.1 – Making a stand How brave are you as a Christian – on a scale from 1-10?
Read Luke 23:50-56
- What was different about Joseph from other Jewish leaders?
- In what way was he brave?
- What do the women do? How were they brave?
Prayer – Ask God to make you brave to take a stand as a Christian
Creative – Joseph and the women did things that no-one else did – what could you do for Jesus, that no-one else can do? Write it down – and be brave and do them!

Orbit 35.2 – Tomb raiders The story didn’t end there – Luke gives us evidence for the most amazing event in history!
Read Luke 24:1-12
- What did the women find?
- What didn’t they find?
- How did the disciples react to the news?
- What about Peter?
Prayer – Ask God to help you to understand some of the bits of the Bible you find hard to believe. And give thanks that Jesus is alive today!
Creative – Find the smelliest (nice) thing you can to remind you of the spices the women took to the tomb.

- Why is the resurrection so important?
Prayer – Thank Jesus for his death and resurrection – get excited about it
Creative – Make a Resurrection poster!
Orbit Week 35 – Weekend and beyond
Orbit 35.4 – The end? It is the end of the gospel – but also the most amazing beginning! And it begins with a surprise party…
Read Luke 24:36-53
- Why is this different to a normal surprise party?
- What did Jesus say and do? How did he demonstrate he was not a ghost?
- What was the task he gave them? (v47-48)
- What help would they get?
Prayer – Thank Jesus for the joy of knowing he is alive, the joy of following him, the joy of worshipping him – the joy of Jesus!
Creative – Make a joy journal – recording how each day you have known joy!
