Day 1: The Unity of God
Reading: Ephesians 4:1-6
Devotional: As we reflect on Paul’s words about “one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all,” we’re reminded of the perfect unity within the Trinity. God Himself embodies unity in diversity. Today, meditate on how this divine unity can inspire your relationships within the church. How can you contribute to the oneness Paul describes? Pray for a deeper understanding of God’s unified nature and how it should shape our community.

Day 2: The Call to Unity
Reading: Ephesians 4:1-3
Devotional: Paul “begs” us to live worthy of our calling, emphasizing humility, gentleness, patience, and love. These qualities are essential for maintaining unity. Reflect on areas where you might need to grow in these attributes. Are there relationships in your life that need more patience or gentleness? Ask God to help you see others through His eyes of love, and to give you the strength to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit.”

Day 3: The Gospel as Our Foundation
Reading: Ephesians 2:13-22
Devotional: The gospel is the bedrock of our unity. It brings together people who were once far apart, making us “fellow citizens” and members of God’s household. Today, spend time meditating on the radical nature of the gospel and how it has transformed your life. How does the shared experience of salvation create bonds between believers? Pray for a renewed appreciation of the gospel’s power to unite us despite our differences.

Day 4: The Beauty of Unity
Reading: Psalm 133
Devotional: This Psalm paints a beautiful picture of unity among God’s people. It’s described as precious oil and refreshing dew – symbols of God’s blessing and presence. Reflect on times when you’ve experienced the joy of true Christian fellowship. How can you contribute to creating more of these moments in your church community? Ask God to help you see and appreciate the beauty of unity, even in challenging circumstances.

Day 5: Accessing the Power for Unity
Reading: Ephesians 3:14-21
Devotional: Paul’s prayer reminds us that unity is not achieved through our own strength, but through the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to be “rooted and established in love” and filled with “all the fullness of God.” Today, spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh. Acknowledge your need for God’s power to love others and maintain unity. Ask for the ability to grasp the immensity of Christ’s love, knowing that this love is the foundation for all true unity.
