Here’s a 5-day Bible reading plan and devotional guide
Day 1: Who Do You Say I Am?
Reading: Mark 8:27-29, John 10:30
Devotional: Jesus’ question to His disciples, “Who do you say I am?”, is perhaps the most important question we’ll ever answer. It’s not just an intellectual exercise, but a heart check that reveals our deepest beliefs. Today, ponder this question for yourself. Do you truly believe Jesus is who He claims to be – the Son of God, one with the Father? Reflect on how this belief impacts your daily life, your decisions, and your relationships. Ask God to deepen your understanding of who Jesus is and to align your life with this truth.
Day 2: The Power of “I Am”
Reading: Exodus 3:13-14, John 8:58
Devotional: When God revealed Himself to Moses as “I AM,” He was declaring His eternal nature and self-existence. Jesus used this same powerful phrase in His seven “I am” statements in John’s Gospel. Today, meditate on Jesus’ bold claim, “Before Abraham was born, I am!” Consider the implications of this statement. How does Jesus’ eternal nature and divinity affect your faith? Pray for a greater revelation of Christ’s deity and ask Him to show you areas in your life where you need to submit more fully to His lordship.
Day 3: Transformed from the Inside Out
Reading: Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 3:18
Devotional: The sermon emphasized our need to be “transformed from the inside out” to truly represent Jesus well. This transformation isn’t something we can achieve on our own – it’s the work of the Holy Spirit in us. Today, reflect on areas in your life where you see God’s transforming power at work. Where do you still need growth? Surrender those areas to God and ask Him to continue His renewing work in your heart and mind. Remember, this is a lifelong process of becoming more like Christ.
Day 4: Ambassadors for Christ
Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:20, Colossians 3:17
Devotional: As believers, we are called to be “ambassadors for Christ.” Our actions, words, and attitudes represent not just ourselves, but Jesus to the world around us. Today, consider how you’re representing Christ in your daily life. Are there areas where your “ambassadorship” needs improvement? Pray for wisdom and grace to live in a way that accurately reflects Jesus’ character. Ask God to help you see each interaction as an opportunity to represent Him well.
Day 5: Sharing Your Story
Reading: Mark 5:18-20, Acts 26:12-18
Devotional: The sermon highlighted the power of personal testimony in sharing Jesus with others. Your story of how Jesus has changed your life is a powerful tool for evangelism. Today, take some time to reflect on and write down your own story of faith. How has Jesus transformed your life? What specific moments or experiences stand out? Ask God to give you opportunities to share your story with others, and for the courage to speak openly about what Jesus has done for you. Remember, your story is unique and valuable in God’s kingdom work.
