Day 1: Called to Follow
Reading: Mark 2:13-17
Devotional: Jesus’ call to Levi reminds us that God’s love extends to all, regardless of our past or social status. Just as Jesus invited an unpopular tax collector to follow Him, He calls each of us today. Reflect on how Jesus has called you, and consider areas in your life where you might still be hesitating to fully follow Him. How can you respond to His invitation with the same immediacy and wholehearted commitment as Levi?

Day 2: Joy in Forgiveness
Reading: Psalm 32:1-5
Devotional: The psalmist expresses the profound joy that comes from experiencing God’s forgiveness. Like Levi, whose past was wiped clean by Jesus’ call, we too can rejoice in the freedom of forgiveness. Take time to meditate on the weight of sin that has been lifted from you. How does this forgiveness impact your daily life and relationships? Allow the reality of God’s mercy to fill you with genuine happiness and gratitude.

Day 3: God’s Presence in Our Present
Reading: Matthew 28:16-20
Devotional: Jesus promises to be with us always, just as He was present with Levi and the other disciples. This constant companionship is a source of joy and strength. Reflect on moments when you’ve felt God’s presence strongly, and times when it seemed distant. How can you cultivate a greater awareness of His presence in your everyday life? Consider practical ways to “practice the presence of God” throughout your day.

Day 4: Hope for the Future
Reading: John 14:1-6
Devotional: Jesus assures us of a future hope – a place prepared for us in heaven. This promise gives us reason to be joyful even in difficult circumstances. How does the certainty of eternity with God impact your perspective on current challenges? Reflect on how this hope can inspire you to live differently today, knowing that your ultimate destination is secure in Christ.

Day 5: Shining Bright for Jesus
Reading: Matthew 5:14-16
Devotional: As followers of Jesus, we’re called to be lights in the world, reflecting His love and joy to others. Like Levi, who immediately threw a party and invited his friends to meet Jesus, we have the opportunity to share our faith with those around us. Who in your life needs to see the light of Christ through you? Pray for specific individuals and consider how you can intentionally shine God’s love in your interactions with them this week.
