Open Doors – meet Hari from India

Even if they kill me for my faith, I want to continue to serve the Lord”

When three families were thrown out of their homes in India for their faith, they were welcomed by Christians in a neighbouring village. Watching this had a profound impact on Hari*. “I was so amazed at the love these Christians showed to each other. I knew this was the God that I wanted to follow.”

In the years that followed his conversion, Hari has been thrown out of his home, his church closed, and he was arrested after being accused of forced conversions. Today, his church gathers in secret. But his faith is indefatigable. “Even if they kill me for my faith, I want to continue to serve the Lord.”

He is so grateful for the support of Open Doors partners: “It is so joyful to see God’s children standing with me in the midst of persecution. Since the church was shut down, I’ve been unable to manage the expenses of my family. I prayed to the Lord for help, and He sent you.”
