In good news from Nigeria, another Chibok girl has found freedom! Lydia Simon, and the three children born to her in captivity, were rescued by the Nigerian army. She is five-months pregnant with her fourth child.
The news is a timely encouragement for the parents who gathered earlier this month to mark ten years since the girls, all now young women, were taken by Boko Haram militants from their school in Chibok.
“Prayer is our only solution,” said Hanata Dauda, whose daughter Saratu has been freed but now lives in the government-run rehabilitation camp in Maiduguri. “If not for prayers, we don’t know what else to do, and with that we trust that, as God released some, He will release all.”
